Man-made or Human Induced Disasters

tragedies brought about by human acts that resulted to unwarranted loss of lives or massive destruction of properties may be a simplest definition of man-made disasters..

Among other factors we know, mainly lack of planning unto any events that people intend to do significantly contributed to prominent tragic stories related to massive loss of human lives and wide destruction of properties. In difference to natural disasters, man-made in a dozen ways could be preventable much as it is measureable through calculation of risks.

simplest definition of terms by incidents - expressions of thought

Fire being considered as natural and man-made. The resulting tragedies may differ by its root causes and can be scrutinized in this as.., "lives lost through fire, in suspicion of arson or faulty wirings can be well interpreted as human-induced." While tragedies as a result of a forest fire can be categorized as natural."

"Lives lost through building collapse by earthquake against lives lost through structural collapse by crowd stampede." A clear thought is clearly expressed through an inevitable earthquake from an apparently preventable crowd stampede. And both share one common denominator - potential disaster.

These simple cases may help to reflect upon and minimize risks if not totally prevent disaster as a consequence of an erroneous human act.
